Paul M. English
Tech Entrepreneur & CTO
Paul is a tech entrepreneur, computer scientist and philanthropist. He is the founder of the Boston Venture Studio and previously co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer of Kayak. Paul has co-founded and successfully sold six tech startups - Kayak.com, GetHuman, Boston Light Software, Intermute, Moonbeam and Lola Travel.
Outside of tech ventures, English co-founded Summits Education, a network of 41 schools in Haiti, created in partnership with the Haitian Ministry of National Education and Partners In Health, a non-profit where Paul serves as a director.
Player Recruit has been honored to be mentored by a Tech expert like Paul. Having Paul on our Board offers us insight that most applications do not receive. He has provided us with invaluable technical advice and ideas that have improved the user's experience and our application's look and feel.
Larry Brown
Hall of Fame Coach
Coach Larry Brown is a Hall of Fame basketball coach that had a successful career that led to him being the only person ever to coach two NBA franchises in the same season. Coach Brown is also the only head coach to win both an NCAA title and an NBA Championship, having won an NBA title with the Detroit Pistons in 2004 and an NCAA title with Kansas in 1988.
Coach Brown has coached many NBA greats including Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Allen Iverson. He was enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame in September 2002 and is the only coach in NBA history to lead eight different teams to the playoffs.
Player Recruit is very excited to have Coach Brown and his excellent coaching experience on our Board. He has provided Player Recruit with priceless guidance on student players, professional sports, coaching mentorship and the importance of understanding the collegiate athlete experience.
George G. Lynch III
Former NBA Player & Coach
George is a former professional basketball player who played in the NBA for 12 years, from 1993 to 2005. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, and helped lead the Tar Heels to the 1993 Atlantic Coast Conference championship, along with the NCAA National Championship where he was the Most Valuable Player of the NCAA East Regional.
George began his professional career with the Los Angeles Lakers as the 12th overall pick in the 1993 NBA draft. He went on to play for teams including the Vancouver Grizzlies, Philadelphia 76ers, and Charlotte Hornets, playing alongside basketball greats like Allen Iverson.
Player Recruit is delighted to have George on our Board as he provides significant input and knowledge about today's student athletes. His personal journey, from student athlete to professional athlete, informs us with much needed guidance as the most important step in a student athlete's career is the connections they make with coaches.
Antoine D. Walker
3x NBA All-Star & Champion
Antoine is a former professional basketball player from Chicago, Illinois. He was drafted as the sixth overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft out of the University of Kentucky where he was a starting forward on the Wildcats' 1996 NCAA championship team. As a freshman at Kentucky, he was named SEC Tournament MVP.
Antoine played professionally in the NBA for 12 seasons from 1996 to 2008 for teams including the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat, and Minnesota Timberwolves. He was selected to play in 3 All-Star games and won 1 NBA championship with the Miami Heat in 2006.
